THE SECURITY STATE BANK ONLINE BANKING SERVICES AGREEMENT I. INTRODUCTION This online Banking Services Agreement (“Online Banking Agreement”) explains the terms and conditions governing the Online Banking Services offered through The Security State Bank. You should read this Online Banking Agreement and the related information provided by the Bank prior to using Online Banking. By using the Online Banking Services you agree to abide by the terms and conditions of this Online Banking Agreement. The terms “we,” “us,” “our,” and “Bank,” refer to The Security State Bank. The words “you,” “your,” “yours,” mean each deposit account owner. II. ACCESSING YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS THROUGH ONLINE BANKING You can access your Security State Bank accounts through Online Banking. On eligible accounts, you can view balances, view transaction history, and transfer funds between accounts including loan payments from your deposit account. You may transfer amounts up to the available balance in your account, however the number of transfers from a Savings Account and Money Market Investment account is limited as described in the applicable Terms & Conditions disclosure given to you at account opening to 6 per month. Any accounts for which you are only an authorized signer, but have no ownership rights will not be accessible. Accounts that require two or more signatures are not eligible for transfers of funds. Each of your accounts at the Bank is also governed by your “Deposit Account Agreement and Disclosure”, Funds Availability Act Disclosure, Electronic Funds Transfer Act Disclosure and related account agreements. A. REQUIREMENTS To access your personal and/or business accounts through Online Banking, you must have an eligible bank account (listed below), a User ID, an online banking password, and an authentication phrase and image through Risk Based Authentication. RSA ensures that the customer’s information is secure & protected from fraud. Every time you log into Internet Banking the bank identifies the customer & the customer identifies the bank through a secret image & phrase. Your internet banking user ID will give you access to your bank account(s) through the internet banking service. You will receive an initial user ID and password from the bank. When you first log in, you will be required to change both. Your letter from the bank will explain this in further detail. Upon Establishing a new User ID and Password you agree to: Not disclose your User ID & Password or otherwise make it available to anyone else. Use your User ID and Password as instructed in this agreement. Immediately notify us of any loss or theft of your user ID and Password. Be liable for your User ID and Password and for its authorized use and for its unauthorized use as described in this agreement. The user ID can be changed through the Service from the Account Management screen. You will be required to change your password periodically. For security purpose, it is recommended that you memorize the User ID and Password. Eligible accounts accessible through Online Banking at The Security State Bank include: *Checking (Regular, Now & Super Now) *Savings & Money Market Investment Accounts *Certificates of Deposit (CD’s) *Loans *Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA) B. SECURITY: GLOBAL SIGN ORGANIZATIONAL SSL CERTIFICATE The bank’s website is secured by an Organizational SSL Certificate. A Secure Certificate Layer identified by a Global Sign Logo on the bottom of the bank’s website adds to the authenticity of the site. If you left click on this logo you will see important information that validates the bank’s website. Please verify that there are no warning messages in the details & that the SSL ‘Validity Status’ is ‘Valid’ & that the address of this profile page starts with https://profile.globalsign.com/& a paddle lock is visible. All of these security measures validated indicate you are at the bank’s official website. FEES There are no monthly fees for accessing your account (s) through On Line Banking. PLEASE NOTE THAT FEES FOR INTERNET ACCESS WILL BE ASSESSED AND BILLED SEPERATELY BY YOUR INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER. D. BANKS RESPONSIBILITY We are responsible for completing funds transfers on time according to your properly entered and transmitted instructions. However, we will not be liable for instance: If, through no fault of ours, you do not have enough money in your account to make the transfer. If the money in your account is subject to legal process or other claim restricting such transfer. If your account has been closed or frozen. If you, or anyone you allow, commits any fraud or violates any law or regulation. If any electronic terminal, telecommunication device or any part of the electronic fund transfers system is not working properly. If you have not followed the instructions for using Internet Banking Services. If circumstances beyond our control (fire, flood or tornado) prevent the transaction, despite reasonable precautions that we have taken. There may be other exceptions in our Agreement with you. E. LIABILITY To use Online Banking services, you must have your own Internet service provider and the necessary computer equipment needed to provide Internet service. At certain times, online services may not be available due to system maintenance or circumstances beyond the Bank’s control. The bank will not be liable for failure to provide access or for interruptions in access to the Online services due to a system failure, other unforeseen acts or circumstances or a malfunction of Bank’s or your computer equipment. You agree the Bank is not responsible for any electronic virus that you may encounter using the Internet Banking Services. You are responsible for maintaining reliable virus protection and spy detection products to detect and remove any viruses or other malicious files found. You agree The Security State Bank will not be held liable for any loss of funds from fraudulent internet banking transactions resulting from the customers negligence in not maintaining appropriate security, virus & spyware software on any computer used for internet banking or neglecting to use a computer that is equipped with reliable security, virus & spyware detection software. F. ELECTRONIC MAIL (E-MAIL) Sending E-mail through Online Banking is a way to communicate with the bank. Online banking has provided E-mail capabilities for you to ask questions about your account(s) or to provide us comments on your banking service. This E-mail capability is accessible after you sign on with your password to a secure session with Online Banking. Despite our best efforts, messages sent by E-mail may not be secure, may be intercepted by third parties and may not be immediately received by the appropriate department of The Security State Bank. Please do not use E-mail to send us communications which contain confidential information, which we require in writing or which need our immediate attention. An internet record that an E-mail has been “sent” or “received” is not verification that the E-mail has been received by The Security State Bank. You cannot use E-mail to initiate transactions on your account(s). For banking transactions, please use the appropriate functions within Online Banking or call The Security State Bank customer service at (605)-449-4261. G. NEW SERVICES The Bank may, from time to time, introduce new Online Banking services. We shall update this Online Banking Services Agreement to notify you of these new services. By using these services when they become available, you agree to be bound by the rules contained in this agreement. III. TERMS & CONDITIONS The first time you or someone authorized by you on your behalf, access your bank accounts through Online Banking the system confirms your agreement to be bound by all the terms and conditions of this Online Banking Agreement and acknowledges your receipt and understanding of this disclosure.
